Joe Aufricht - Diary Of A Madman

From the darkest, moldiest, depths of America’s black metal underground…
Outsider anomaly, "satanic trailer trash", maniacal pervert, unsuccessful provocateur, Joe Aufricht has been a menace/general nuisance to Cleveland, Ohio, and its metal scene for decades. Self appointed high priest of his own failed satanic temple. In the 1990s, well into his 30s, Joe became famous for a handful of home-recorded cassette and the manic ramblings they contained; recanting the perverse triumphs of his adolescence, denouncing christianity, cursing his enemies, praising satan, painting vivid images of his bizarre sexual fantasies, exhibiting juvenile behavior. A Chris Chan esque figure of the pre-internet metal scene. Sort of like a less homicidal Full Force Frank.

This release compiles 4 notorious tapes and a bonus cassette of rare recordings including
Joe debating Bob Larson live on the air, threatening answering machine messages from strangers, awkward conversations with teenage girls, and stoned conference calls with the likes of Jim Konya (Nunslaughter/Minch) and Steve O'Bannon (Seraphic Decay Records)
